Fit 4 Digital Luxembourg helps businesses assess their digital needs before investing in new tools. Following the reform announced on 13 October 2026, eligible consultancy fees can receive up to 70% funding for small enterprises, 60% for medium-sized enterprises and 50% for large enterprises. The assignment produces an assessment and a costed action plan. Implementing the recommendations is a separate project.
What changed in October 2026?
Older pages describe a fixed €5,000 assessment covered in full. That is the previous framework. The updated programme supports deeper studies, including data management, automation opportunities and ERP specifications. It is open to businesses of all sizes that meet the conditions. The grant must exceed €1,000 and cannot exceed €100,000 per project; this is a grant ceiling, not an automatic allocation.

Funding examples and cash flow
For an assessment with €20,000 in eligible fees excluding VAT, the maximum grant would be €14,000 for a small enterprise, €12,000 for a medium-sized enterprise or €10,000 for a large enterprise. The corresponding unfunded fees would be €6,000, €8,000 or €10,000. These are illustrations, not TeamIA quotations or funding approvals.
Travel and incidental expenses are excluded. Budget for the full invoice: the payment claim follows completion and payment of the assignment. Ask Luxinnovation to confirm the relevant size category, especially if your company belongs to a group, and disclose aid already received under the de minimis framework.
Eligibility and the preliminary LDMA
The business must have its registered office in Luxembourg, hold a valid business permit issued by the Ministry of the Economy and carry out an economic activity as its principal activity. Selling to Luxembourg customers alone does not establish eligibility.
The Light Digital Maturity Assessment, or LDMA, is a required preliminary self-assessment. The specifications dated 12 October 2026 describe it as free and taking less than 30 minutes. Its findings help scope the deeper consultancy assignment. Answer with someone who uses the tools daily: owning a CRM says little about whether customer requests are actually recorded in it.
Which projects can an assessment prepare?
The following are illustrative scoping scenarios, not client references or approved projects. Each assignment needs its own agreed scope.
ERP selection
A distributor keeps orders, stock and margins in separate systems. Map the information flows before selecting replacement software. The study can prepare specifications and compare options, including their integration constraints. ERP implementation belongs to a later project.
Process automation
An accepted quotation may trigger repeated manual entry for scheduling and invoicing. Document the normal workflow and exceptions: a changed quote, missing information or a duplicate request. A useful study identifies where systems can exchange data and where a person must still approve an action.
Reliable data and reporting
If two departments report different revenue figures, another dashboard will not settle the disagreement. Establish shared definitions, sources, periods and data ownership first. Those decisions make subsequent reporting and AI projects easier to assess.
Infrastructure and adoption
A cloud decision needs an inventory of dependencies, access requirements and recurring costs. Underused software may instead point to training or organisational issues. The next investment should address the cause, rather than add another tool to the same workflow.

Application sequence
- Contact Luxinnovation and complete the preliminary LDMA.
- Select a consultant listed for Fit 4 Digital and prepare an unsigned quote defining scope, deliverables, timetable and fees.
- Provide the requested documents, including the legal organisation chart, declaration and power of attorney. Luxinnovation files the application on your behalf.
- Wait for the digital filing receipt before signing or starting. A filing receipt is not a grant approval.
- Complete the assessment within six months and receive the report and costed action plan.
- Pay the assignment and submit the payment claim through MyGuichet.lu with invoices, proof of payment and the final report.

Fit 4 Digital, Fit 4 AI or SME Packages Digital?
Choose the programme around the decision you need to make. Fit 4 Digital addresses digital processes, systems and data. Fit 4 AI assesses AI use cases, feasibility, benefits and governance. SME Packages Digital concerns implementation for eligible SMEs, with projects between €3,000 and €25,000 excluding VAT and 70% support for eligible costs. Its entry point is the House of Entrepreneurship or the Chambre des Métiers, rather than the Fit 4 assessment process.

What should a useful roadmap contain?
Ask for a problem, owner, prerequisite, estimated cost and measurable outcome for each recommendation. “Install a CRM” is less actionable than “centralise incoming enquiries, assign an owner and measure response time”. Record dependencies so that data clean-up happens before a new reporting tool relies on those records.
Before the initial discussion, prepare one page covering the process, tools, monthly volume, processing time, frequent errors and people involved. Measure a representative week instead of estimating from memory. This gives the consultant something concrete to challenge.

The current consultancy assignment is cofunded according to company size, leaving a company contribution. The preliminary LDMA is described as free. Do not use the historical fully funded €5,000 package to budget a new assignment.
Does it pay for a website or software installation?
No. The Fit 4 mission covers assessment and planning. Implementation needs its own scope, budget and, where relevant, a separate support scheme.
